Mellah play laid back dream pop with a backbone, beautifully structured and sonically sharp and sweet in equal measure. Liam Ramsden’s songwriting is closer to storytelling, and each track a reflective journey through time.

Peckham newcomer Liam Ramsden plays under the name Mellah. Throughout his debut E.P “Liminality” released through London Label Lucky Number Music, Mellah hits hard on the heartstrings starkly painting pictures of a modern day existence through a young mans eyes.

Fusing sun soaked guitars, intricate drums and a unique vocal style that sits his sound somewhere deep in the past yet truly here and now.

The theme of the “Liminality” covers everything from chance meetings with a post-war soldier, exorcising ones own demons to dealing with the harsh reality of loss and grief.
