London’s Milk Disco unveil ‘Twisted Wheel’, a sleek yet contorted dance-rock floor filler through Ra-Ra Rok Records.
In under 3 minutes Twisted Wheel tows a line between the groove ridden stomp of their debut track ‘Welcome To The Milk Disco‘, whist building on a distorted pop sensibility.
Where the likes of New Young Pony Club or CSS built on groove based, dance-ready pop hooks, Milk Disco match that whilst digging through the grit of real life anxieties to provide a sweaty dance floor exorcism. Present releases follow more in the artistic lineage of Brixton natives Clor with all of the sonic variety of Brooklynites LCD Soundsystem.
The band will be throwing a single launch party at The Windmill, Brixton (28/09) in celebration. Frontman Matt Robinson spoke about the tracks creative process and said “..it was the first song I wrote that I thought I could apply different ideas to sonically, it’s about giving up and accepting the consequences”
