Sad Club sweethearts nudista are back, this time with new single ‘inasmuch’, which arrives alongside the announcement that their debut EP will be coming out on March 31st. The London duo of Pilar Matji Cabello and Robbie Carman – who gelled over Yo La Tengo and Neil Young when meeting for the first time at university in London – open up their home to the audience in their new video, which sees them introduce kittens Mr Chill and Kim Gordon to the world.

The track follows a perfect balance of lyrical intimacy and a thought-provoking dreamscape, from Pilar’s featherlike lead vocal and Robbie’s heart-warming accompaniment to an underlying acoustic feel track, shimmering with guitars and kept steady with percussion – can I hear some organ? The new single arrives with a feeling of the changing of the seasons, as the flowers and sunlight of spring burn away the cobwebs of winter, nudista follow suit with a buoyant, introspective yet hopeful release.

Nudista state that the EP is “a kind of processing tool, about being forced to be ‘okay’ all the time, and having to disguise our anxieties in our daily lives.” Find the band at Sebright Arms, London on April 9th for their EP launch – with labelmates TV Room in support.
